RTITB Forklift Operator

Training Course

Operators of forklift trucks should hold a valid certificate obtained by formal training to a level of competence, as required by the code of practice.

 

Courses range from a one day course for refresher training for candidates who currently hold a certificate, two day conversion course for certificate holders wishing to add an additional machine, three day course for operators who have experience but never held a certificate and a five day course for novice operators.

 

There is a theory and practical test to prove the candidates knowledge and competence of understanding the machine and safe operations.

  • Be issued with a RTITB certificate and card

  • Be a member of the National Operators Registration Scheme (NORS) 

  • Be able to demonstrate safe operating techniques 

  • Understand the approved code of practice relating to the lift truck industry 

  • Provide various skills in operating machines safely and efficiently

Courses are designed and delivered to the guidelines as required by the awarding body RTITB. Our counterbalance forklift training courses can take place either at our purpose built forklift training centre in Ayr or on-site at customers premises.
