This course is designed to give candidates the knowledge and awareness of the dangers of reversing vehicles. It will assist drivers in manoeuvring vehicles in confined spaces using mirrors and hand signals being given by the Banksman.

• Reversing procedures

• Restricted access (confined spaces)

• Signals used by the Banksman

 

Candidates should be able to:

• Ensure the safe passage of reversing vehicles

• Identify areas of danger around working vehicle

• Demonstrate HSE recommended code of practice

• Guide large vehicles, using HSE code of signals
